Nikon D3 @ 11 FPS

Monday Mar 8, 2010

Quick video showing the mirror while it cycles 11 fps.

Comments Disabled because most of you people are idiots. This is what the camera is designed to do, rapid frames per second in situations that need it. This was a quick test to show the mirror mechanism in action. Total frames was 120 or so the mirror mechanism is designed for over 300k actuations. This was done BEFORE a sensor cleaning hence me not caring about the movement of dust.

so that’s about 130 …
so that’s about 130 pictures. It’s obvious that you don’t care about the camera but why keep it pressed that long anyway.
P.S. that’s not the jpeg buffer running out, it’s the new Nikon ‘wtf are you doing’ protection system.

@tele3phono shutter …
@tele3phono shutter is rated to 300k actuation, I’m at 20k and this was 200 or so while testing it. Far from killing the shutter but thanks.

This was taken before the sensor was cleaned so stop whining about the dust.

A quick test for …
A quick test for you so called D3 owners =D

At what shutter speed does the D3 start shooting at 11Fps?

FOR EXAMPLE. A Nikon D300 + MB-D10 attached and loaded with EN-EL4 batteries only shoot 8Fps (CH mode) at 1/250 shutter speed.
