@FirebrandNIRE Yes it will…If you didn’t know, you should’ve been better off with a cheaper camera. The D90 would be EXCESS for you.

It won’t autofocus …
It won’t autofocus but if you are proficient at manually focusing, your photos will come out amazing.

I’m sorry but you …
I’m sorry but you are mistaken. It is indeed a 50mm f/1.8 lens. It is simply an older design that features a focusing window. I do hope to own a f/1.4 someday though

that lens on your …
that lens on your camera isnt a 50mm 1.8 its a 50mm 1.4 and its worth about 330 dollars the person that gave it to you must of given you the wrong info that lens is a step up to the 50 mm 1.8 with a greater aperture and a focus window i have both lenses but i prefer the 1.4 because i work with night time portraits so i need the most light i can get but if your gonna use it for everyday use id recommend the 1.8 its 200 dollars cheaper

Excellent review. …
Excellent review. It’s very rare to find a person who takes the time to sit for over 5 minutes and tell you things. Plus, I think the review is very beginner-friendly…although they might lean towards a zoom. I personally hate zooms. Can’t stand them. My 50mm f/1.8 has been on my D300s for the whole time I’ve had the camera…I never bother to take it off…It’s my go-to for everything. I have access to much more expensive zooms and primes…but I stubbornly stick to this prime.
